Lumbar Disc Microsurgery

Lumbar disc microsurgery is performed to relieve pressure on spinal nerves caused by a herniated or damaged disc in the lower back. This procedure is typically recommended when patients experience ongoing pain, numbness, or weakness that has not improved with non-surgical treatment.

Using a microscope and specialized instruments, the surgeon removes the portion of the disc pressing on the nerves through a small incision. This minimally invasive approach reduces tissue disruption, shortens recovery, and provides long-lasting relief from nerve-related pain.
