Femoroacetabular Inpingement Surgery
Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) happens when extra bone forms around the hip joint, causing the bones to rub together and limiting movement. This friction can damage the cartilage or labrum in the hip, leading to stiffness, pain, and reduced mobility during everyday activities.
Using the arthroscopic method, the surgeon makes small incisions and inserts a tiny camera with specialized instruments to reshape the bone and repair tissue damage. This minimally invasive approach reduces recovery time compared to open surgery while improving hip function, relieving pain, and lowering the risk of further joint damage.
