MACI® (Autologous Cultured Chondrocytes on a Porcine Collagen Membrane)

MACI® is a procedure used to treat cartilage defects in the knee. Healthy cartilage cells are harvested, cultured in a lab, and placed on a collagen membrane.

These cells are then implanted into the damaged area, where they grow and restore smooth cartilage. The treatment helps reduce pain and improve knee function in patients with significant cartilage injuries.
