Biceps Tenodesis
The biceps tendon attaches the biceps muscle to the shoulder. Overuse, injury, or degeneration can cause this tendon to tear or become inflamed, leading to pain and weakness.
In a biceps tenodesis, the damaged tendon is detached from its original attachment and reattached to the upper arm bone. This relieves pain while maintaining arm strength and function, particularly for lifting and overhead activity.
