Arthroscopy (Overview)
Knee arthroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows the surgeon to see inside the joint using a small camera inserted through tiny incisions. Specialized instruments are used to diagnose and treat a wide range of knee conditions without the need for open surgery.
This approach is commonly used to repair torn cartilage, remove loose fragments, or treat damaged tissue. Because the incisions are small, arthroscopy usually results in less pain, lower risk of complications, and quicker recovery than traditional surgery.
