ACL Reconstruction (Patellar Tendon Graft Technique)
The patellar tendon graft technique uses a portion of the tendon that connects the kneecap to the shinbone to reconstruct the ACL. This method is often chosen for younger or highly active patients who need a very strong graft.
Because the patellar tendon closely resembles the ACL in strength and size, it provides excellent long-term stability. Although recovery may involve some temporary pain at the graft site, this technique is considered one of the most reliable options for restoring knee function.
