ACL Reconstruction (Hamstring Graft Method)
This method of ACL reconstruction uses a tendon from the patient’s hamstring to replace the torn ligament. The hamstring graft is prepared and secured in the knee using tunnels drilled into the bone, creating a new ligament to stabilize the joint.
Hamstring grafts are strong, flexible, and commonly used because they provide excellent stability with minimal donor site issues. Patients can expect restored knee strength and stability, particularly for sports and activities that require pivoting or sudden stops.
